SUMMER LABORER/CARPENTER'S ASSISTANT

Overview:

We are currently seeking several local Laborers/Carpenter's Assistants for our busy summer season. This is ideal for a trade school student, college student, teacher or someone looking to see what a job in the trades is like. This requires full-time (or very close to full-time) availability, Monday through Friday.

Details:

• Carpentry experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid drivers license required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with driving a truck (or large SUV-size vehicle) preferred.
• Employee will perform a variety of physical tasks to support our lead carpenters, such as delivering supplies, job site preparation and clean up, heavy lifting of construction materials, and carpentry assistance.

Pay:

• From $16.00 per hour. Hourly rate is commensurate with experience.

PART-TIME SHOP ASSISTANT

Flexible schedule:

This is a weekday position (no weekends nor evenings) and offers flexibility around an individual's schedule.

For candidates who may be students, we understand that class schedules can change each semester. As long as you can consistently offer 20-25 hours per week and communicate these hours clearly with our Shop Manager, then we can work with your changing schedule.

This is a year-round position, so priority will be given to an applicant who lives locally enough to commit to summer hours in addition to during the school year.

Description:

• Tasks include but are not limited to receiving deliveries at the West Chester shop; driving supplies to local job sites; prepping materials at the shop (ex: priming or staining materials for use at job sites); making runs to supply stores for items a job site manager needs, etc.
• No carpentry experience is needed.
• Experience with driving a larger vehicle (pick-up, SUV, attached trailers) is preferred.

Pay:

• $16.00 per hour.
